However, I wanted you Kindle cheerleaders to answer some questions and/or do some research for me. Go ahead, defend your LOVE!
- Does the kindle allow you to change the font size. Like when you've been flying for 10 hours straight and your eyes are bleary and you can't read the tiny characters anymore?
- Seriously, how many times have you hit the left-side button thinking it's "last page" when in fact you are hitting "next page'. Admit it! Bad UI! (user interface)
- Can you get ebooks of translated Western books in Japanese or Mandarin?
- If so, where?
For instance: Find me where I can purchase the Japanese or Mandarin translated eBook for:
"Arch of Triumph" by Erich Maria Remarque
I don't know about numbers 3 and 4, but Number 1 is oh-so-true: You can change the font size by pressing the Aa button. (I don't know how on the touch-screen version, though.) And I agree with your number two; I think they needed to do "next page" on the right side, and "previous page" on the left side.
ReplyDeleteBut I have wandered from my Kindle, and now use the Kindle app on my iPhone. I hang my head in shame.
Can't help ya either. I use the Kindle app on my iphone and ipad.

p.S. Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
I've done the same as Omegamum, drifted to my Iphone app ;-)
ReplyDeleteIs there not a Japanese version of Amazon that does e books? I know there are other languages as I have a Danish friend that gets books. She can't just get every book though as there isn't always a version in printed version let alone ebook. Some books culturally just don't translate, or have a market in other countrys.
